Happy 2016!

new years eve 2016

Happy 2016 everyone!

I really hope everyone had a fantastic couple of days to start out the new year. I spent some time with my bestie, and we primarily loafed, which is awesome because that is exactly what we needed and honestly how we always roll. Thanks for a most awesome time bestest!!

New Years’ Resolutions?

Anyone still do these? I really don’t. I think it is a surefire way to jinx something. I prefer to call them goals because that is a much better and attainable term. So here are my goals for 2016:

This blog: Take it bigger and better than last year. It upped 5000 views from last year’s stats, so I am quite happy about that. It is really such a fun way to connect to everyone out there and having an avenue to talk about my opinions about books, movies and series.

I also want to add a snippet to every Monday’s post about what you can expect for the week – but my blog scheduling can be really just when I want it to be, so I’m not promising anything 🙂

Lifestyle: I just want to live a happy and healthy life. I really would like to take more adventures and see new places – I’ve discovered some places in South-Africa for the past couple of years and would love to really continue that habit. I live in such a incredibly beautiful country that it isn’t a hardship at all to travel locally. I would also love to do a couple of races around Johannesburg – it is a fun way to test fitness levels while providing a way to see more of the city.

Movies and books: As always, I would love to see and read more new things, and venture into avenues I wouldn’t usually go into. I’m still combining my Blindspot 2016 list, so let me know if you have any suggestions.

Yep, I’m also doing it and yep, I’m also going to recap on here. (I hope to do it weekly). I think it is such a great and easy way to notice the things that make you happy, no matter how small it is. You can follow my progress on my Instagram account if you want to as well. 🙂

So, there you have it. My totally not new years’ resolutions GOALS. What are you planning for the year?

Upcoming this week:

Tuesday, 05 January 2016: Blindspot 2015 final feedback

Wednesday, 06 January 2016: Movies of 2015, Parts 11 – 20

Thursday, 07 January 2016: Movies of 2015, Parts 1-10

Friday, 08 January 2016: Films I want to see this year.

  1. Those are some excellent goals! And i like the term ‘goal’ better than ‘resolution’ too. Resolution just sounds like someone’s trying to do something unreasonable or unrealistic. That’s how I’ve always thought of it anyway. 🙂 Happy New Year Natasha! May your ’16 be a great and sunny one!

  2. Check you out, all planned and organised! I love it! It was a wonderful visit, and I am looking forward to seeing you again super soon!

PS: Goals is a way better way of looking at it!

  3. Happy New Year, Natasha! Looking forward to seeing what everyone is planning for their blogs this year. 🙂 Looks like you’ve started some end of year lists?? My lunch is just finishing so will catch up on here later!! 🙂
