#100HappyDays ROUND 2: Days 31-40

So it is Monday again, and I thought I’d post this specifically as a reminder about happy things, not Monday things. However, I am almost going on leave and seeing my bestie, so today is pretty great!

31

Day 31: I went for a walk in the nature reserve close to where I live. It is really beautiful there, and it was really relaxing walking in the green after a long day at work.

32

Day 32: The crochet-bug has been around significantly more frequent now that it is a slight bit cooler. I am trying heroically to finish this granny square blanket that I started over a year ago. Wish me luck!

33

Day 33: I sat down with my mom and sister and watched another old-school film I haven’t yet seen. Andy McDowell has NO clue how acting works, but I did like Hugh Grant. He was so handsome as a younger man.

34

Day 34: I went back to the same nature reserve for another walk. glorious!

35

Day 35: Some wine before Power Rangers. Did it make the movie better? Not sure, but might have contributed.

36

Day 36: I do love this Avon French Manicure nail polish. It always comes out looking so pretty!

37

Day 37: I love these pretty rings I bought!

38

Day 38: I bought this USN shake after I finished my Nutritech shake. Further investigation reveals that this is actually just a bit too sweet for me. Anyway, at the price it goes for I will definitely finish it. Maybe it grows on me!

39

Day 39: At this stage in my life I have no issue admitting I love buying shoes. It is my own money, so I couldn’t give a damn about opinions anymore. Anyhow, here is my tan heels I purchased recently. #love

40

Day 40: Attended a babyshower. Let’s be real – most women face these only because you like the mom-to-be and not because of any actual potential fun. I have to say, this one turned out great. I am happy I went!

What have you been up to lately? Let me know!

#100HappyDays: Days 31 – 37

Happy Monday everyone! Back today with my weekly updates on the #100HappyDays challenge. So far, so good.

31

Day 31:

I… bought shoes again. Oops. Actually they just jumped into my car window and I had to take them home. What’s a girl to do?

32

Day 32:

Had this delicious halloumi salad at work. It was so NOM.

33

Day 33:

Had a lovely run at the Kliprivier Nature Reserve and some thinking time with a friend.

34

Day 34:

These clouds while I was running. Sometimes it is so wonderful to realize how insignificant the human race is.

36

Day 36:

So. I started drinking herbal teas instead of a straight dose of caffeine through the day. It hasn’t been easy, but rooibos is delicious and it makes life somewhat better. I’m not completely insane and am still drinking a cup of coffee in the morning. But. I might growl at people in the afternoon due to severe lack of caffeine.

37

Day 37:

Spent the day with a lovely bride to be, celebrating, and eating way too many fudge brownies. I am not eating ANYTHING next week. Okay, I’ll eat. But not brownies.

What made you happy the past week?

PS: Did you pick up the mistake?

#100HappyDays: Days 17-24

Waddup, lovely people? Here is a run down of my happy challenge for days 17 – 24. Lessons learned: I have a serious shoe problem and I like my birthday. Enjoy!

17

Day 17:

New coloring pens to add to my growing stash and further this unhealthy addiction, new beige heels for work and new large sunnies (just watch the amount of shoes I bought this week… #addiction)

18

Day 18:

This show. I hope to have a review up this week. But. This Show. I was in floodgates at the end. I need it to be a movie too. Please Julian Fellows, please.

19

Day 19:

Here’s to family and friends that became family. Life would be pretty lonely without you.

20

Day 20:

Sad that I didn’t get to photograph my bare burger, but I had one as well as sweet potato chips, and… it wasn’t that bad.

21

Day 21:

Boots, the resident feline, being all super adorable and sleeping just as he pleases.

22

Day 22:

Coming in as the second pair of new shoes bought, I found these teal shoes on a sale. And everyone knows if it’s on a sale it’s actually SAVING money, not spending it.

23

Day 23:

Hanging with my bestie (I was really hanging there), on her last day in Johannesburg. It was a fantastic and highly entertaining visit, bestest! see you soooon.

24

Day 24:

Birthday vibezzzz. (sorry, had to include all those ZZZZs). I took the day off to just relax, got myself a nice breakfast, shopped a bit (third pair shoes and DVDs, took some notes, as well as the lovely watch I got from mom and necklace from sister.

Well, there you have it! What makes you happy??

#100HappyDays: Days 9 – 16

day 9

Day 9: When I moved into my new place at the beginning of #2015wasashittyyear last year, my dog had to go live with my sister. While I am really grateful and happy that Nicci Noodle got to go to a safe and happy environment and be with people that love her, I still miss her snuggly warmth every day. I got to spend some time with her recently and that made me really happy. I’ve also been kind of obsessed with block heels since they came back at the end of last year. They are great – you can actually work in them because they provide support for your feet, and they look uber cool – I feel like I can do anything when I wear them. I saw this pair in the shops but they didn’t have my size, and when even the online store for the retailer didn’t list them anymore I wrote it down as bad luck. So when I found them in another branch, my happy cup filled over and I was dancing (at least in my head) in the shop.

day 10

Day 10: Started watching Homeland Season 5 – oh goodness, what a crazy great and intense season! Also did nails in a gorgeous new color and continued with my adult coloring book.

day 11

Day 11: This sassy little book bag gave me such joy when I bought it.

day 12

Day 12: I’m busy reading this incredible book from Elizabeth Gilbert – Big Magic. It is everything I want in a book that wants to be self-helping. I am having such a great time. The woman is sensational and I just want to be like her when I grow up.

day 13

Day 13: Johannesburg was being lovely

day 14

Day 14: Had some delicious meals throughout the day and updated blog’s look as well.

day 15

Day 15: These Paris prints in my room makes me so happy. Motivation and reminders of what I want to do in my life.

day 16

Day 16: I’m doing really well with the no-sugar thing so far. However, with amazing cappuccino I don’t even think about sugar. How amazing is that?!

What made you happy this week?

5 Things Friday: Five outrages gifts I want for Christmas

Unless you are living under a rock, you are well aware that in twelve days it is Christmas. I love this time of the year. Suddenly, people become much more friendly and kind. It is also the time of the year for PRESENTS. I will never claim I am too old for presents. NEVER. I have compiled all the outrages gifts I want for Christmas below 🙂 Enjoy!

A Tea-Shack in Hawaii

My friend Zoe and I decided a few years back that owning and operating a tea-shack in Hawaii would be the perfect way to live life, and that it would be our dream to one day do it. I think now is the time! Just look at how lovely it is there.
